Switching to satellite 2

/

March 07, 2003

In one of my previous posts, I was debating weather I should switch from digital cable to satellite TV. At the time I decided against switching because I learned that it would cost about $500 to get my satellite installation done from any of my local satellite TV retailers. Being unhappy with my cable channel line up and stuck with the hefty monthly bill ($100) the situation felt frustrating.
Somehow I ended up at the DirecTV website days later and to my surprise the exact same system I was quoted $500 through the local retailers is only $200.
Today I switched to satellite, I am very happy with the channel line up and most important the price. I get more channels for $40/month less.
