An expat for about 8 years, I can honestly say that living abroad so far, has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Being able leave a past life and start from scratch has been challenging and even scary, but at the same time empowering and self-defining.

There is however a huge caveat I see at this point: I am not able to stop time. Its heartbreaking to see the ones you love...people like your grandparents get older and grow tired, to see in their eyes, the flame of life slowly fading away.

It is said that home is where the heart is but what if one’s heart is in two places?
