Not Alone/October 14, 2003Michelle had her last day at her job today. She quit to pursue her burgeoning wedding planning business full time. Coincidentally today, I ran across an interesting article on San Francisco magazine titled "Home Alone - Not" (unfortunately not online) that has a few tips on how to cope when a couple starts spending a lot more time together. The two parts of the article that I felt were written with someone like me in mind were: Shut up Resist the urge to read aloud every funny email your brother sends your way. Want to listen to the radio? Have you heard of headphones? and Procrastinate discreetly, alone Someone on a deadline is apt to go crazy listening to you sorting the cans from the bottles. I know that at some point our businesses will grow to the point that working at home is no longer an option but until then following the points above will have to do for a peaceful existence.
