Coming Out

I have been listening to a lot of Radiohead lately and I must say I’m impressed. I know the band is pretty old news for most people but I have been living inside a cocoon of pure electronic music for the last six or seven years. I had sort of a rule that if the music I was listening to had lyrics, id didn’t want to hear it.
Yeah you can call me close minded but a rule as extreme as that enabled me to really appreciate all kinds of weird and unusual sounds and stop thinking about music in terms of songs but more in terms of an aural environment, what I liked to think as soundscapes.
My strictly music-noise days were over when I sold my turntables about six months ago so far I am pleasantly surprised with what I’ve been hearing.
