Beautiful Frames

/

December 08, 2003

Even though a couple of weeks ago I ranted on how awful going to the movies has become, on Friday we ended up at opening night of the Last Samurai, Tom Cruise latest movie. One thing I really liked about the movie is the way it looked. I noticed the last three films Mr. Cruise's has been in -The last Samurai, Vanilla Sky and Minority Report - have all had great photography. I wonder if he has any say in picking the director of photography for the films in which he appears. I actually bought the Vanilla Sky and Minority report DVDs only because of the way the movies looked.

By the way, Minority Report also has a great website made by whom I consider to be one of the most innovative interactive design houses in the world: Hi-Res!, make sure you check out their work.
